THE MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY EXCHANGES VIEWS WITH A DELEGATION FROM THE INTERNATIONAL FINANCE CORPORATION

A delegation from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) led by Mrs. Josiane KWENDA, Regional Representative for Côte d'Ivoire, Benin, Guinea and Togo, was received on Wednesday 25 October 2023 by Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ, Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA).

The IFC, a subsidiary of the World Bank Group responsible for private sector financing operations, came to learn more about the PAA's development strategy and potential areas of collaboration.

The meeting not only provided an opportunity for Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ to present the new configuration of the Abidjan Port to his guests, following the ambitious infrastructure projects undertaken over the past decade, but also to unveil his vision for future logistics.

At the end of the discussions, which attracted a great deal of interest from the finance company, the Managing Director of the PAA encouraged the IFC in its policy of supporting private sector financing. He also reiterated his commitment to support and accompany all IFC actions aimed at making port activities efficient and competitive.
