THE MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY MEETS WITH THE EXECUTIVE BOARD OF THE GENERAL CONFEDERATION OF ENTERPRISES OF CÔTE D’IVOIRE
On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at the Maison des Entreprises in Abidjan-Plateau, the Managing Director of Abidjan Port Authority, Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ, held a significant working session with the Executive Board of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), led by its President, Mr. Ahmed CISSÉ.
This meeting between the Port Authority and CGECI aimed to enhance collaboration between the two entities to boost Côte d’Ivoire’s economic competitiveness.
Acknowledging the vital role of the private sector in the national economy, Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ reiterated the Abidjan Port Authority’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with CGECI through a mutually beneficial collaboration. He highlighted the modernization efforts undertaken at the Abidjan Port over the past decade to position it as a leading hub port on Africa’s Atlantic coast.
Mr. Ahmed CISSÉ welcomed the working visit from the Abidjan Port Authority’s Top Management, noting that it aligned with CGECI’s ongoing efforts to foster partnerships with key economic stakeholders.
It is worth noting that CGECI is the most representative employers' organization for Côte d’Ivoire’s private sector. Its primary mission is to represent its member companies, defend their interests, and provide a platform for dialogue and consultation.
