THE MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY RECEIVES A DELEGATION FROM THE MSC GROUP
The Bolloré Transport & Logistics group signed on 31 March 2022, with the Swiss group Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), a contract providing for the transfer of the entire Bolloré Africa Logistics brand, which includes all the transport and logistics activities of the French operator in Africa.
It is in this context that a mission from MSC has been in Côte d'Ivoire since 5 April 2022, with a view to meeting the Ivorian authorities.
On Thursday 7 April 2022, the delegation of the Swiss group, led by Mr. Roland KOUADIO, Director General of MEDLOG-Côte d'Ivoire, a subsidiary of MSC, was received in audience by Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ, Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority.
During this meeting, Mr. Roland KOUADIO indicated that it was important for the mission to come and inform the Abidjan Port Authority of the purchase of Bolloré's assets – Bolloré has partnerships with the Abidjan Port Authority. He also informed that the MSC group is firmly committed to respecting existing agreements, maintaining the current organization and projects in progress at the Abidjan Port.
In addition, the delegation congratulated the Port Authority for the ambitious modernization projects undertaken on the Abidjan Port platform. It intends to work in synergy with the Top Management of the Abidjan Port Authority in order to increase the influence and attractiveness of the Abidjan Port.
As he took the floor, Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ expressed his satisfaction to collaborate with MSC, which he defines as an experienced group in the port sector.
