THE NATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL IN CÔTE D'IVOIRE RECEIVED BY THE ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY

The Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority, Mr. Hien SIÉ, received in audience a delegation of the National Council for Human Rights (CNDH) led by its president, Mrs. Namizata SANGARÉ.

In her speech, Mrs. SANGARÉ indicated that she had first come to present to the Port Authority the missions of the institution she heads. These can be summarized as the promotion, protection and defense of human rights in Côte d'Ivoire.

Then, she took the opportunity to request the support of the Port Authority as part of the organization of the activities of the Human Rights Fortnight which will take place in early December 2022 throughout the country

Through that event and in accordance with its office, the CNDH is willing to come closer of populations for not only taking into account their concerns but also for instructing them on their rights.

Mr. Hien SIÉ greeted this initiative and reassured the president of CNDH of the availability of the Abidjan Port Authority to bring its support to the promotion of Human Rights in Côte d’Ivoire.
