The 59th edition of the Paris International Agricultural Show opened its door on Saturday 25 February 2023 at Paris Expo,’’Porte de Versailles’’ and will last till 05 March.

The official opening ceremony took place in the presence of His Excellency Emmanuel MACRON, the French President and several other political officials including His Excellency Patrick ACHI, the Ivorian Prime Minister.

The event held under the central theme ‘‘Agriculture: Living on a Daily Basis ‘’was attended by Côte D’Ivoire through the state Ministry, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Animal and Fishery Resources and the Ministry of Waters and Forests

As it is a tradition, Abidjan Port Authority attended this major international gathering of players of the agricultural and fishing world in order to showcase its performances and the opportunities of this major logistics platform of Côte D’Ivoire’s foreign trade, and also the Port of Abidjan as the First Tuna Port in Sub Saharian Africa.

The Pavilion dedicated to our country was visited by His Excellency Patrick ACHI accompanied by several senior officials including members of the Ivoirian government and His Excellency Maurice Kacou BANDAMAN Ambassador of Côte D’Ivoire to France.

In front of the press, the Head of the Government declared that the strong presence of Côte D’Ivoire at SIA 2023 demonstrates the ambition of His Excellency Alassane OUATTARA, President of the Republic to make Côte D’Ivoire an Industrialized Country through the revitalization and promotion of the agricultural sector. He pointed out that ‘’ Our country has a high agricultural and fishing potential that needs to be promoted.

It is worth noting that on 28 February 2023, Mr Bamoussa OUATTARA, Director of the Fishing Terminal, Head of the delegation of Abidjan Port Authority made a presentation of the achievements of terminal and highlighted the assets of Abidjan Port which has tremendously developed over the last twelve years with the carrying out of major upgrading works
