PARTICIPATION OF THE PORT OF ABIDJAN IN THE 45TH PMAWCA COUNCIL

The Port of Abidjan will take part in the 45th Annual Council of the Port Management Association of West and Central Africa (PMAWCA), scheduled to be held from November 4 to 7, 2025, in Pointe-Noire, Republic of Congo.

Held under the theme “Reinventing port land management: towards sustainable and resilient enhancement of port infrastructure in the face of economic and environmental challenges,” this edition will highlight a major strategic issue for African ports: the management and valorization of port land.

In a context marked by sustained growth in maritime traffic, land scarcity, and the need for sustainable optimization of port spaces, ports across the continent are called upon to rethink their economic models, modernize infrastructure, and strengthen competitiveness in response to the new demands of international trade.

As a leading player in maritime trade in West Africa, the Port of Abidjan will, on this occasion, share its experience, best practices, and strategic vision regarding sustainable development and property valuation.
