PORT/VRIDI BOULEVARD TO BE REHABILITATED

Mr.Cameron ALFORD, Vice President of Compact Operations of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and Mr.Hien Yacouba SIÉ, Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA), proceeded to the signing of the letter of acceptance of the RAZEL-BEC company, winner of the contract for the rehabilitation of the Port/Vridi Boulevard, in the auditorium of the Top Management of the PAA.

This signature which marks a major step in the Abidjan Transport Project (ATP) of the Millennium Challenge Account (MCA)-Côte d'Ivoire, will make it possible to launch the rehabilitation of nearly 32 kilometres of vital roads and infrastructure adjacent to the Abidjan Port, in order to improve road safety and integrate multi-modal planning, while reducing transport costs for households and increasing revenues for businesses.

The Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority said he was very satisfied with the upcoming start of this project which will certainly improve the competitiveness of the Abidjan Port. On behalf of the Ivorian government, he paid tribute to the United States of America through the MCC for this significant support.

It should be noted that before this meeting, the MCC delegation composed of the Director General of MCA-Côte d'Ivoire, Mrs. Florence RAZAN and the Director General of RAZEL-BEC, Mr. Grégoire SAIX, visited the Port/Vridi Boulevard.
