RELIGIOUS LEADERS OF ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY EXPRESS GRATITUDE AND WISH FOR PEACE IN 2025
As tradition dictates, at the beginning of each year, religious leaders from the Abidjan Port platform pay a courtesy visit to Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ, Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA), to present New Year wishes and express gratitude for the consistent support they receive.
Led by Imam El Hadj Mohamed-Lamine HAIDARA, Chief Imam of the OULFAT Mosque in the port zone and Chief Chaplain of the Maritime and Port Sector of Côte d’Ivoire, the delegation also included the Very Reverend Pastor Pierre AKA AMON, Pastor of the Methodist Church of the Fraternity of Côte d’Ivoire/Port Zone and Chaplain of Ports and Industries, Father Emmanuel AKA AMON, Chaplain of the Apostleship of the Sea, and Father Alain Paul N’GUESSO, the new Parish Priest of Saint Anthony of Padua Church at Abidjan Port Authority , in office for the past four months.
During this meeting, the religious leaders expressed their thanks to the PAA’s General Management for its commitment. Thanks to this assistance, they are able to fully carry out their spiritual missions for workers and the faithful, thereby contributing to a climate of serenity and social cohesion.
"We express our deep gratitude for your support of the religious community at Abidjan Port Authority. This assistance allows us to continue working for peace and harmony on the port platform," stated the Very Reverend Pastor Pierre AKA AMON.
As 2025 marks a major electoral year with the presidential election, the delegation offered special prayers for national stability, the smooth running of activities at Abidjan Port Authority, and social peace.
In return, the Managing Director of PAA welcomed this initiative and reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining a close collaboration with the various religious denominations present on the port platform.
This meeting once again highlights the fundamental role of religious leaders in promoting peace and well-being within the port community. It also demonstrates PAA’s commitment to supporting these spiritual actors in their mission, ensuring a serene work environment conducive to the development of port activities.
