STRENGTHENING COLLABORATION BETWEEN MSC GROUP AND THE PORT AUTHORITY
On Friday 04 january 2024, Mr Hien Yacouba SIE Managing Director,Abidjan Port Authority received a delegation of Mediterramean Shipping Compagny led by Mr Fabio POLITI, the Top Manager of the Compagny.
The meeting had a double agenda present compliments to the Port Authority for the new year,and review activities that have been carried in Abidjan Port.
In his statements ,Mr Hien SIE congratulated MSC fos is increased presence in Abidjan Port and expressed satisfaction for the excellent cooperation with this shipowner whon he describes as an experienced player in the port sector.
Mr Fabio POLITI for his pârt,seized the opportunity of the meeting to present a report of the activities of his group which recorded 255 ship calls in 2023.
Then he reaffirmed the interest of MSC to contribute to the influence and attractiveness of Abidjan Port and hence,to the economie development of Côte d’Ivoire.This is reflected in the buying recently of Bolloré Africa Logistic,and the excellent collaboration with the Port Authority ;a collaboration that its company intends to strengthen further.
Finally,he congratulated the top Management of Abidjan Port Authority for the major upgrading of the port infrastructure carried out during the last years.
