TRIPLE DISTINCTION AWARDED TO THE PAA BY THE BORDERLESS ALLIANCE

The Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA), Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ, granted an audience this Wednesday 12 October 2022, to a delegation of the BORDERLESS Alliance led by Mr. Jonas LAGO, Chairman of the Executive Committee.

The latter took the opportunity to present to the Port Authority the 2021-2022 activities of his organization with a focus on the conclusions of the 9th Annual Conference held from 5 to 6 May 2022 in Abidjan, under the theme, "Accelerating Regional Economic Integration in West Africa through Digitalization".

As a member of the BORDELESS Alliance and a regular sponsor of the organization's activities, PAA received several awards during this 9th Conference, which were officially presented to Mr. Hien SIÉ today. These included an Award of Excellence to the Managing Director of PAA for his personal involvement in the Alliance's projects, and two other distinctions awarded to PAA, one in its capacity as Official Sponsor of the 9th Conference, and the other for its major role in African integration and the development of cross-border trade.

While thanking his interlocutors for the honor bestowed on the Abidjan Port Authority, Mr. Hien Yacouba SIÉ assured them of the commitment of the institution he heads to always accompany the BORDELESS Alliance in achieving its objectives.

The BORDERLESS Alliance is a West African Sub-Regional Association created in 2011 under the impetus of USAID. It currently has 78 members.

The Abidjan Port Authority sits on the Executive Committee and also holds the position of Vice President of the National Committee of Côte d'Ivoire.
