THE UNITED STATES TRADE AND DEVELOPMENT AGENCY ON A WORKING VISIT IN ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY

On Tuesday 13 September 2022, Mr Hien Yacouba SIE, Managing Director of Abidjan Port Authority (PAA) received a delegation of the United States Trade And Development Agency (USTDA) led by Mrs Jillian FOERSTER.

The head of the USTDA’S mission stated that this visit to the Abidjan Port Authority was aimed mainly at getting acquainted with the major upgrading projects of the Abidjan Port platform.

The mission of USTDA is to help emerging economies to find the right solution to their infrastructure challenges through the investment in the export of American technologies and services.

After the presentation of PAA and its major development projects by Mr Hien Yacouba SIE, both parties committed to consider the possibility to build relationships aiming at reinforcing economic cooperation between American companies and Abidjan Port Authority.

In addition to the members of USTDA, the American delegation also comprised companies operating in logistics, transport and technology industries.

It is worth recalling that the visit to Abidjan Port followed an official mission on port logistics made by the Ministry of Transport together with the Port Authority to the United States of America last June.

The delegation of USTDA took part in a tour of the port facilities after the exchanges.
