VISIT OF THE CEO OF THE SEA-INVEST GROUP TO THE MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE PORT OF ABIDJAN : STRENGTHENED COOPERATION IN SUPPORT OF PORT PERFORMANCE

On Thursday, November 13, 2025, the Managing Director of the Port of Abidjan, Mr. Hien Yacouba Sié, received a delegation from the SEA-INVEST Group, concessionaire of the Bulk Terminal, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Philippe Van de Vyvere.

The meeting helped to consolidate cooperation between the two institutions, within a framework aimed at optimizing the performance of the Bulk Terminal and supporting the shared ambition of sustainable and competitive development of the Port of Abidjan platform. Discussions focused on operational performance, growth prospects and investment projects intended to strengthen the logistics chain and attract new volumes, particularly in the mining sector.

The delegation, comprising Mr. Anthony ARCIDIACO, Africa Director of the Group, and Ms. Myriam Ouassenan, Managing Director Côte d’Ivoire, praised Mr. Sié’s leadership, whose vision contributes to positioning the Port of Abidjan among Africa’s major port hubs.

For his part, the Managing Director of the Port of Abidjan commended SEA-INVEST for its traffic performance and the quality of its operations. He reaffirmed the Port Authority’s willingness to support the concessionaire in pursuing its growth and modernization objectives.

As a reminder, the Port of Abidjan’s Bulk Terminal has been operated by SEA-INVEST under a concession agreement signed on April 11, 2018.
