The South-African President Visits the Abidjan Port

As part of his official visit in Côte d’Ivoire, the President of South Africa, H.E. Mr. Cyril Matamela RAMAPHOSA went to the Abidjan Port on 3 December 2021 in the company of the Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. Patrick Achi, representing the President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire.

It should be noted that some members of Ivorian and South African Governments were present at that visit.

During his address, the Minister of Transport said he was satisfied with the visit of the South African President who came to personally appreciate investments engaged for the modernization of the Abidjan Port.

As for the Managing Director of PAA, he made a presentation of the Abidjan Port, which ranged from its creation up to its development prospects and included the implementation of very important projects either in progress or achieved.

In addition, he pointed out that the exchanges between Côte d’Ivoire and South Africa were at a low level and that he wished them to be enhanced by the involvement of President RAMAPHOSA.

The ceremony ended by a visit of the port facilities from the water area.
