VISITE DU PRESIDENT MALIEN AU PORT D’ABIDJAN
The President of the Republic of Mali, HE Mr. Ibrahim Boubacar KEITA, arrived in Côte d'Ivoire on Thursday, May 10, 2018 as part of an official visit of 48 hours. The Malian Chief Executive was the illustrious host of the Autonomous Port of Abidjan on the morning of Friday, May 11, 2018. He was welcomed by Ivorian Vice President HE Mr. Daniel Kablan DUNCAN, accompanied by Mr. Amédée KOUAKOU, Minister of Economic Infrastructures, Mr. François Albert AMICHIA, Minister of Sports and Leisure and also Mayor of the Municipality of Treichville, Mr. KANTE Koly, Chairman of the Board of PAA and Mr. Hien Yacouba SIE, Director PAA General. In his welcome speech, the Minister of Transport, represented for the occasion by his colleague from the Economic Infrastructures, Mr. Amédée KOUAKOU expressed in these terms, all the joy and pride that the Port Community of Abidjan has experienced in receiving the Malian President: "Excellency Mr. President, this is the first time that a President of the Republic of Mali has thrown the soil of the Port of Abidjan. Today is therefore a great day for the port of Abidjan and this visit that we will engrave in letters of gold in our archives, testifies to your attachment to the historical relations which unite Côte d'Ivoire and Mali, but also the reflection of the emotional ties that bind you to the President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, HE Mr. Alassane OUATTARA. He said. This visit was an opportunity for the Director General of the Port Authority of Abidjan, Mr. Hien Yacouba SIE, to trace the history of the Port of Abidjan but also to present its development projects that will make it a leader port on the Atlantic coast of Africa. As for the Malian President, he expressed his enthusiasm and his satisfaction in view of the good cooperation between the Port Authority of Abidjan and Mali through its economic operators.
