THE ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY AND AGL REAFFIRM THEIR STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP TO SUPPORT PORT PERFORMANCE
The Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA), Mr. Kassoum TRAORE, received, on Thursday, July 2, 2026, Mr. Philippe LABONNE, Chief Executive Officer of Africa Global Logistics (AGL), accompanied by a delegation including Ms. Asta-Rosa CISSÉ, Regional Director of AGL Côte d’Ivoire.
The working meeting provided an opportunity for the two institutions to reaffirm their strategic partnership and their shared commitment to continuing their cooperation in support of the development of the Port of Abidjan.
On this occasion, the Managing Director of PAA commended AGL’s contribution to the development of the Port of Abidjan and its role in improving the performance of the logistics chain. He also underscored the importance of this cooperation in strengthening the competitiveness of the port platform.
Speaking in turn, Mr. Philippe LABONNE reaffirmed AGL’s commitment to supporting the development momentum initiated by the Abidjan Port Authority. He commended the progress made by the port platform in recent years, which has further strengthened its position among the leading logistics hubs in the sub-region.
The discussions focused on prospects for strengthening cooperation between the two institutions, as well as on actions capable of sustainably supporting the performance, competitiveness and attractiveness of the Port of Abidjan.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Kassoum TRAORE welcomed the convergence of views between the two parties and reaffirmed the Abidjan Port Authority’s willingness to pursue this strategic partnership in support of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic development.
The meeting reflects the shared commitment of the Abidjan Port Authority and AGL to consolidating sustainable cooperation aimed at enhancing the Port of Abidjan’s standing and competitiveness within the regional maritime and logistics landscape.
