ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY AND THE EMBASSY OF MALI REAFFIRM THEIR COOPERATION IN SUPPORT OF TRADE

On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, the Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA), Mr. Kassoum TRAORE, received a delegation from the Embassy of Mali in Côte d’Ivoire, led by Mr. Chérif Mohamed KANOUTÉ, Chargé d’Affaires.

The courtesy visit provided an opportunity for both parties to reaffirm the excellent relations between Côte d’Ivoire and Mali, as well as their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in support of trade development.

During the discussions, the Chargé d’Affaires highlighted the strategic role of Abidjan Port as Mali’s main maritime gateway and expressed the wish to further consolidate this cooperation for the benefit of economic operators in both countries. The delegation also raised several concerns relating to transit operations, which will be jointly reviewed with the stakeholders concerned.

In response, the Managing Director of PAA thanked the delegation for the cordial visit and reaffirmed the Port Authority’s commitment to maintaining dialogue with all stakeholders, in accordance with applicable procedures, in order to contribute to the smooth flow of trade.

“The Abidjan Port Authority will spare no effort to work with all stakeholders to identify balanced solutions that benefit everyone,” said Mr. Kassoum TRAORE.
