PORT COOPERATION: ABIDJAN PORT AUTHORITY AND GRIMALDI CÔTE D’IVOIRE CONSOLIDATE THEIR PARTNERSHIP
On Thursday, August 6, 2026, the Managing Director of the Abidjan Port Authority (PAA), Mr. Kassoum TRAORE, received Mr. Vincent GRIMLER, Managing Director of GRIMALDI Côte d’Ivoire, accompanied by Mr. Zana Daouda KONE, a member of the GRIMALDI Group.
The courtesy visit provided an opportunity for both parties to reaffirm the strength of their partnership and discuss prospects for further cooperation in support of the development of port activities.
On this occasion, Mr. Vincent GRIMLER extended his warm congratulations to the PAA Managing Director on his appointment and wished him every success in his new position. He praised the excellent relations that have prevailed between the GRIMALDI Group and the Abidjan Port Authority for more than a decade, notably recalling the historic 2024 call of the latest-generation MV GREAT ABIDJAN, a symbol of the Group’s confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s port platform.
The Managing Director of GRIMALDI Côte d’Ivoire also reaffirmed the Group’s commitment to continuing and intensifying this strategic cooperation, particularly through the development of Ro-Ro traffic. He further expressed the GRIMALDI Group’s readiness to support the Abidjan Port Authority in pursuing its ambitions for modernization, competitiveness and growth.
In response, Mr. Kassoum TRAORE welcomed this renewed expression of confidence, which reflects the strong relationship maintained between the Abidjan Port Authority and the GRIMALDI Group. He reaffirmed the Port Authority’s determination to sustain this collaborative momentum with its strategic partners in order to further strengthen the performance and attractiveness of the Abidjan port platform.
